KU Medical Center
KU Medical Center (KUMC) is an academic institution that collaborates with an array of partners, including federally qualified health centers and school districts, to holistically support adolescent educational journeys. The organization brings together students, families and external agencies through a centralized system that provides easy access to resources that address challenges faced by economically disadvantaged children.
Amethyst Place
Amethyst Place, a long-term supportive program in Kansas City, provides women and children with a safe environment to heal from substance use, trauma and poverty. By providing private apartments that are fully furnished with no maximum length of stay, families are empowered to determine when they have been successful enough to advance to the next steps toward independence.
Sunstone
Sunstone is transforming the recovery housing experience for those working to overcome substance use disorders in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Their resident-first mindset creates a safe and structured environment designed for sober living and recovery. Executive Director Vivian Sickinger shared that their goal is, "to be like no other recovery housing program around us."
Welcome House
Since 1971, Welcome House has provided residential support services and rehabilitative programming for men recovering from substance use and addiction in Kansas City. The organization's residential program assists men facing reintegration into the community with a goal of nurturing productive citizenship.
